Blountville Civil War Days set for Sept. 24...

Directions: Interstate I-81, Exit 69, 1 mile into downtown Blountville

The Battle of Blountville Reenactment Committee has announced exciting new plans for “BLOUNTVILLE CIVIL WAR DAYS”, a 1-day living history event to be held from 9 AM to 5 PM, on Sat., Sept. 24, 2016, near the old Sullivan County Courthouse in downtown Historic Blountville. The event will include skirmishes and numerous living history demonstrations that will depict life during the Civil War. The event is free and open to the general public. SPECIAL NOTE: The 2016 Battle of Blountville Civil War Reenactment has been postponed in honor of this year's Battle of Perryville national event that will be taking place in October 2016. Plans are already under way, however, for the full-scale 2017 Battle of Blountville Civil War Reenactment which will be held next year on September 22-24, 2017.
